BNB Show 41- Moving over to Libsyn

Good morning/afternoon/evening from the Beeeee you tea full Rocky Mountain State of Idaho

Today's show color is: Green (all ages)
B2B2B spotlight is on: Jonathan Walker

This is the first show from my new host, Libsyn. iTunes is showing 40 shows for me, including all the bits and pieces I have uploaded, so we'll start the numbers off at 41 with this show.

First of all, if you have been listening to me all along, or at least since before the move to Libsyn, thank you soooooooo much!!! If you are a new listener/subscriber... WELCOME!! It's nice to have you. In either case, drop me a note and let me know who you are and how you found the show.

Write to the show at anytime... boiseandbeyond@gmail.com or leave a voice mail on the comment line at 1-401-6BOISE6... UK and NZ numbers available, but you'll have to ask for them.

Why did I change to Libsyn?
Mevio meltdown

Where have I been since the last show? Well, the last two shows were Feb and Oct of 2010. That's right, over a year ago since the last show.
Since Feb of 2010, I have been to:

England
San Francisco/Sacramento, CA
Las Vegas, NV
Tucson, AZ
New Zealand
San Antonio, TX
Sun Valley, ID

In subsequent shows, I'll be telling you about parts of those trips. Where I stayed, who I met (and how I met them to begin with), what I saw (tourist and non tourist) and generally how each trip was.

In 2012, I will be going back to England as well as a Super Secret Location in October. If you haven't already, go to audioboo.fm and search for my boo account under TIGGR... I'm going to try to travel with one less piece of equipment this trip, my laptop, so I'll be sending out up to 30 min of updates and/or soundscapes through audioboo.

When I get home, I'll edit together the best bits from the BOOs, if any, and put them up as a podcast. Hopefully, I'll have some new music from this trip too!

I'll be formatting this show a bit differently from the old Boise and Beyond shows that you've come to know and love.

I'll still have stories from my travels, travel tips, news and views, but the music segment will be called Back to Back to Back (or...B2B2B).

This is where I'll play three selections from a single artist or group, without interruption. If, by some chance, there are explicit lyrics in the song, the show color will be RED... If I'm not sure how the music will be received, the color will be YELLOW... and if I'm wowed by the music and it's suitable for all ages, the show color will be GREEN.

Back to Back to Back (B2B2B)

To start off our new relationship with Libsyn, our musical guest is
Jonathan Walker

"I was born in Liverpool about 30 years ago in Mill Road Hospital in Liverpool, since demolished (Not because of me). I grew up in Paraguay (Next to Brazil) which is where I first discovered my love of music in general and the Beatles in particular. At 9 years old a friend of my dad's lent me a copy of "A Hards Day's Night" and it was love at first sight...

I've made my living from playing music for the last few years and it has been a wonderful adventure. As well as Liverpool, I've played in Durham, Newcastle, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Leeds, York, Chester, Norwich, London, Canterbury, Cambridge, Asheville and Maryland (USA) and many other places. There's a kind of magic playing on the streets that you can't get from playing in doors. It's the people you meet, the songs you can share, and the sense of freedom and
being alive. The one big downside is the weather!"

I met Jonny in April of 2010 when he was playing outside shops in Liverpool One shopping center. We kept walking by him, to and from the quay and the Beatles exhibits, so I stopped and took some video of him busking and bought one of his CD's.
