Richard M Nixon Presidential Library and Birthplace

The Richard M Nixon Presidential Library and Birthplace is in Yorba Linda, California. I visited it in April of this year while I was visiting my mother for a week. Even though he was born in the house still on this property, and I grew up in Orange County, I had never been here before. It was a beautiful day, warm for April, and the video above includes inside the museum and library, the Rose Garden, the actual house where he was born and was a child (with narration from the docent) and the Pat Nixon Exhibit.

The Pat Nixon Exhibit is a temporary one for one year, so I was lucky to see it. She was one classy lady.

From the official website:

THE ARCHIVE
November 10, 2011 Opening
The Nixon Library’s third opening of 2011. announcement
On November 10, 2011, the Nixon Library opened formerly restricted materials from five Watergate-related transcripts of the Nixon White House tapes. These transcripts are being released in conjunction with the National Archives’ opening of the nearly three hundred page transcript of former President Richard Nixon’s grand jury testimony on June 23 and June 24, 1975.

The Nixon Library has a great gift shop, so be sure to stop on that page of the website too! I was able to pick up a few official White House Easter Eggs

Thank you for watching my videos, amateurish as they are. Thank you for subscribing through iTunes. If you look for this podcast there, it's the one with the gnome in the picture. The other one is the old Mevio feed.
